Specialization Summary
In this three-course specialization, you’ll first build a solid grounding in Generative AI. Learning how models like ChatGPT and DALL·E generate text and images, master prompt engineering techniques, and explore advanced methods such as fine-tuning, RLHF, and RAG. Next, you’ll gain practical, hands-on experience configuring and using leading GenAI tools, from text and image generation to workflow integration best practices. Finally, you’ll develop the ethical and governance frameworks needed to deploy GenAI responsibly, Mitigating bias, safeguarding privacy, navigating global regulations, and assessing real-world societal impacts.
Learning Outcomes
By completing GenAI Essentials, you will be able to:
Explain core principles and architectures behind generative models and how they differ from traditional AI.
Demonstrate proficiency in key GenAI platforms—configuring, prompting, and evaluating outputs for both text and images.
Apply advanced prompt engineering and integration strategies to accelerate creativity and productivity.
Identify and mitigate ethical risks—bias, privacy concerns, and hallucinations—using best practices and compliance guidelines.
Critically assess the societal and regulatory landscape of GenAI, and propose responsible AI deployment strategies.
Applied Learning Project
In this specialization, assessments are designed to reinforce understanding through frequent quizzes that test key concepts and one peer-review assignment that encourages collaborative critique. By actively applying skills in these assessments, learners will deepen their grasp of generative AI’s capabilities, limitations, and real-world applications.
