You will also examine the different forms or categories of IOs that include state and non-state actors in the global governance domain.

This era witnessed the growth of global regulatory institutions based on the global markets in which capital, goods, and, to some extent, labor were perceived to move freely. You will learn about Bretton Woods institutions, such as the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund (IMF), that provide financial and advisory support for development, poverty reduction, and the stability of the international monetary system. You will also examine the role of the regional development banks, other financial institutions, and multi-country arrangements in the global economy.
